This Privacy Policy Statement provides you with detailed information regarding the protection of your personal data by Quorum Advocatenkantoor BV, having its registered office at Amerikalei 219, 2000 Antwerp and registered in the Crossroads Database of Enterprises under number 0737.483.971 (RPR Antwerp, section Antwerp) (“Quorum“) in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC.

As a data controller, Quorum is responsible for processing your personal data as part of our services. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about which personal data we process about you, the reasons why we process and share this data, how long we keep it and how you can exercise your rights.

Which personal data do we process?

Quorum processes different categories of personal data, including:

  • identification data (e.g. name, first name, IP address); and
  • contact data (e.g. postal and e-mail address, telephone number).

What do we do with your personal data?

If you communicate with us by e-mail, if you submit your personal data via our website to Quorum by filling in our contact form or by sending a spontaneous application then Quorum will naturally only process this data for this purpose and further follow-up.

Quorum will only use the information provided by e-mail or the contact form to contact you in response to your question or to request further information.

If no contractual relationship arises from the contact via e-mail or the contact form then Quorum will keep your personal data for a period of six (6) months for possible further follow-up.

Quorum also retains your personal data no longer than necessary for the purpose for which it has been provided or is required by law.

May we process your personal data?

Quorum collects and uses your personal data as far as necessary in the framework of our services:

  • with a view to executing an agreement or in preparation for this;
  • on the basis of the consent which you have given us; and/or
  • on the basis of a legitimate interest of Quorum to continue processing your personal data for a certain period of time for possible follow-up.

In order to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes, Quorum only communicates your personal data within the framework of the handling of your file to:

  • certain regulated professions such as lawyers, notaries or auditors.

Where are your personal data processed?

Your personal data is always processed on the cloud of Quorum.

Quorum has concluded a data processing agreement with the administrator for this purpose.

In doing so, the administrator takes all appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of your personal data.

Will your data be transferred to third countries outside the European Economic Area?

Your personal data will not be subject to international transfer from the European Economic Area to a country outside the European Economic Area.

What rights do you have against us in relation to your personal data?

You always have the right to ask Quorum which personal data of yours it processes and for what purpose, to correct inaccurate or incomplete data, to erase your data in certain circumstances, to limit the processing of your data, to object to its use for direct marketing purposes, and to transfer your personal data to a third party in a machine-readable form.
